King's Kids Camp 2011 was a time of fellowship, discipleship and fun for the campers and councellors alike. It was
also a time of challenge as some of the children were new to the camping experience altogether. The Camp was held for
two weeks under the theme "The Joshua Generation, leading righteously, following righteousness". The idea of the
theme came from the Book of Joshua with the primary focus being chapters 1-10. This shows Joshua, a young man who followed
the specific instructions of God and in doing so, he led the Isrealites in the way of righteousness. This camp had a major
goal in mind, to influence the youth of today, our Joshua Generation to lead righteously and seek to follow righteousness.
Their generation is the one who will take over as the leaders of tomorrow when our generation is all gone. One of our
main focus was to get the children and teenagers to follow specific instruction as Joshua did and a few exercises were put
in place to do that. This turned out to be quite a challenge as the children in some cases were not all too keen on following
specific instructions at the beginning of the two weeks.
